I gotta brave rush hour traffic, but I'm on my way to the stadium.
Go Stanford!

We are wearing black, in case that hasn't been posted yet.

I will forgive the utter silliness of wearing black if we actually win this game.

It’s bad enough that the basketball team often goes full WSU with its uniforms. Why did the football team decide to dress up in Toejam colors? Maroon with gold trim? Blech... Are we trolling UCLA?

On TV the weather looks perfect for football. I hope we see the intensity and execution shown against UW.

It's pretty windy, maybe not enough to affect throws but it's definitely a deviation from perfect.
Unrelated, I saw a nice moment down on the field. There were a few kids on the field trying to get high fives as people were heading to the locker room, players, equipment guys, even the ref gave them all five. I vaguely saw someone give them five then double back and spend more time with them, so I looked closer and it was Shaw! He talked with each, signed something they had, shook their hands then went into the tunnel. I bet it made their day, and I wonder how many other coaches would just run right by.
Also, holy crap it's empty. There are no students so far. Even the band looked tiny for an October game. This might be a library game...

The TV guys just said that there will be about 7,000 people at the game. Low exaggeration?

I mean, given the traffic around here it should fill in more than it is now, but this is the worst I've ever seen.

And who said Shaw didn't spend time recruiting. . ..
Perhaps it's mid-terms, at least for the engineering students. It is a school night, after all.
There's no one there!

Nice conversion. Good pass.

Yeah, I only just made it to campus, so I won’t be there for the kickoff. I wouldn’t call the weather windy, but then again I live in Burlingame and work in South San Francisco. There’s a light breeze. Weather is currently in the 60’s and probably will dip down into the 50’s once it gets dark.

We get the FG. Would have liked to see West take us down for 6, but not a bad start.

Nice drive, but only three. West throwing gopher balls down field, good to the flat.

That screen pass was a nice design, completely sealed off UCLA's defenders. I hope they have a counter of it to run later.

That was fast. Though getting three when we had second and 1 from the UCLA 34 is a bit disappointing.

"gopher balls": images of Josh Nunes. Yikes! Or is it, "yips!"?

And just like that, we're up 3-0. Perfect snap, hold, kick. Nice going, Jet.
I really like the way that West sets up. He needs experience, he'll get it tonight.

Scarlett got stoned on the 3rd down run.

Agree. Once the yips go away, we've two really solid QBs!

Toner. How's our backup kicker?
