Yeah it sucks and it’s something that I’ve been watching. It’s not just a game day, it’s also reunion.
But unlike last year‘s fire, where are the air quality index was like 300 or 400 near the fire, and then by the time The smoke got to the bay area it was still over 150, the current maps on purpleair.com showing that the air quality index is about 160 at the fire, so my hope is by the time it drifts down to the stadium the aqi is going to be below 100.
Still sucks that this looks to be the new normal.
Fortunately, so far, this fire doesn’t seem as bad, as big or as tragic as last year’s.

You might hold off until firefighters get more than 5% containment.

The other thing is that the wind is supposed to be really picking up this weekend - gusts up to 80 mph, and PGE is moving forward with some shutdowns tomorrow. Hoping that they can knock the fire down enough during a relatively calm day today.

We're in rural, unincorporated NE Novato - in 2017, smaller fires just preceding the big flare ups in Santa Rosa and Napa started just a mile from our place. Fortunately, in our area, the winds were from the NW and not from due N. We also had a brush fire a half mile upwind from our neighborhood about 6 weeks ago. Last night, PG&E just announced they're cutting power in our area tomorrow. Trust me, we are sitting on pins and needles on this latest forecast, to say the least. If this is the new normal, I liked the old normal waaaaay better...

I hope PG&E cuts power in West Marin for a few days. It happens to us every winter once or twice. It isn't the end of the world unless you have a necessary medical device and then it's scary. Load up on water, have a bust out plan which includes vital paperwork.
