More video than you could ever want -

Some fellow on YouTube has mashed up a bunch of videos from various teams, of which much of it is Stanford's. Here's the link of Stanford's offense versus USC's defense.

You'll see, under the "suggestions" column, that there are several Stanford mashups from other games.
VERY nice find, thanks WIM (alt link) -

Below might be a better link to Pac team breakdowns than the suggestion items column.Â
Or not, but better to have choices:

Thanks for that, Lurck. Absolutely more convenient.
A couple things stood out to me upon rewatching the offense against SC:
1) They spent a lot of time in our backfield. Nevertheless, we were still able to put up 37 points--should have been 38 points, were it not for a wayward PAT. That was also despite an unusual number of Stanford errors on offense. Something like this might be a preview of a less-dominant-OL 2011, and in some ways that's reassuring: despite everything, there was just too much talent on offense to be denied. Overall, I think the "skill position talent" is better in 2011 than 2010, so if that's a preview of 2011, I'm not necessarily disturbed. On the other hand, the happiness of this particular worst-case scenario depended on:
2) An absolutely massive Owusu performance. I'd forgotten about this. Owusu had a classic 2009 Owusu game: he had so many big plays--big catches, a big kick return--that remind you of the importance of explosiveness in an offense (they increase your margin of error) and Owusu's A+ ability in that field. Shaw and the gang have sounded very positive about Owusu so far in August, and to me that's the biggest piece of news so far. If Owusu is anything close to 2009 Owusu, expectations seem much more fulfillable.Â

I totally agree. Whenever I see people comment on Stanford stories that we "lost our two best receivers" I have to laugh. Owusu is a game changer in so many ways that Baldwin wasn't. I think we'll miss Whalen more than Baldwin, as long as Owusu is healthy. We don't have that proven possession receiver, although our TEs probably makes up for that.
Watch the Stanford O vs. Cal D video and you'll notice that Stanford was having a tough time against the Cal D until Luck broke that 50 yard run. That was basically the game there and changed the psychology of both teams, I think.
Nice, Lurck. That USC footage was scary - Redrum - 08-25-2011
We forget how close they got to beating us in our best season EVER. WIM hit it on the head. They spent a lot of time in our backfield and our best OL in at least a decade really had to scramble...as did Luck. Beating them down in the Coliseum this season is going to be very tough.
