Good story. Hard to anticipate injuries

Marta played her first game for ND. Starter at PG with 6 assists and 5 turnovers. Only took three shots scored one point. ND beat Fordham by just 5

USA won by about 30. So by end, Stanford looks better, margin was 15 for the cardinal.

Cal went east and lost to Harvard for the second year in a row, 56-53. Next up for them is UConn. Ouch. 

Utah also went east and dropped what should’ve been winnable games against Cincinnati and Xavier. Arizona currently trails Santa Clara at the half. There’s definitely some rough times in the PAC right now.

Tennessee beat ND and Marta today 74-63. Before Marta fouled out, she went 1 for 5. Tennessee had 55 rebounds, ND had 28 (TN had 40 defensive rebounds to 17 for ND/TN had the edge in blocks as well—12 to 1). TN won with 28 turnovers!

Sniezek was playing tough defense - took two charges in a row (though first was called a travel) and got a few rebounds and great passes for assists. Also showing great leadership.
Felt badly for her when after the announcers praised her Rebecca Lobo added somewhat cynically that her teammates love to play with her because she doesn’t look to take her own shot.
