In his prime (1984-85 with the Knicks, before the knee injury) King was harder to stop than a young Michael Jordan. After the knee injury, King was never the same and Jordan had ascended to the top in his absence.

We have a winner! Yes, RG-W. For those who care, Ernie Grunfeld and Pat Gold both attended Russell Sage JHS in Forest Hills, Queens (as I did). My gym teacher used to brag about how he taught Ernie all he needed to know to become all-American.
