Women's Soccer - Mick - 11-16-2019

#20 Santa Clara's (14-5-2) Julie Doyle scored 20 seconds into overtime to beat the Cal Bears (13-5-3) and win the first round soccer game, 1-0.  Game played before 1,019 at Stevens Stadium at Santa Clara U.  Santa Clara goes on to play Oklahoma State, a 1-0 winner over South Dakota State.

Other results of interest:

Hofstra downed Loyola-Chicago 1-0 in the third minute of overtime.
Arizona beat Texas Tech 1-0 with a goal in the 62nd minute.

So early game Friday Arizona v Penn State, late game Hofstra v Stanford.  Didn't get a chance to watch Hofstra - their stream was behind a paywall.

USC routed CSU Fullerton 5-1, all the goals coming in the second half.  Their hosted bracket is a match vs. Texas A&M, with the other game being Santa Clara v Oklahoma State.

Colorado, Washington, Washington State also all advanced, so the Pac-12 went 7-2, the only two losses Cal@Santa Clara 1-0 and Utah at Duke 4-0.

ACC also won big.  SEC, well, sorta like volleyball.  Always hyped, hard time delivering.

One first round game left, Notre Dame v. Saint Louis tomorrow.
