Stanford is a 2.5 Point Favorite?!? - Row80Critic - 11-17-2019

Is Vegas paying no attention or is Cal really that bad?

Their starting QB, RB, S, and backup LB all got hurt this weekend, and we're at home.

Big Game is pretty much our bowl game this year, isn't it?

Not if we win. Then the Domers are.

Home field is worth a FG so this is a toss up

Which Weenie QB got hurt Modster or Garbers?

I would never hope for such circumstances, but I'll take what fate gives us for Big Game this season.

Garbers got hurt. Modster came in and looked awful.

Garbers

From what I could find out, it isn't yet clear that Garbers will not play next week. It looks like it might be concussion protocol, which is bad for the kid, but may allow him to play by Saturday. He was on the sidelines apparently in good spirits during the game. Does anybody have any different info on his injury?

I'm no doctor but I did see the game on tv. Sure looked like a non throwing shoulder injury to me. According to Pappadopododoplous (i think), it was the same shoulder he hurt earlier in the season.,

The Cal boards are saying it was the other shoulder. He actually broke his right clavicle earlier in the year.  FWIW https://www.sfchronicle.com/collegesports/article/Cal-demolished-by-USC-QB-Garbers-injured-again-14841213.php says he injured his left shoulder this time. I am not sure this is accurate. He wasn't in a sling or anything on the sideline after the injury. That seems strange if it was his shoulder.

Over / Under just posted at 40 in Vegas -- LOWEST point total on the NCAA board.
I thought it might come in around 9 points.  A 6-3 nail biter in Q4...
But, Mills looked good -- against the Cougs, granted -- still, I like our Receiving Corp.
But, the pass rush from Cal will be fierce.  Get it out quickly -- I do not see us running much.

I think the afore mentioned pappado......... was a small carnivore from the Jurassic period. Found in the La Brea Tar Pits near the McKayasourous.

I'm guessing we will know more tomorrow at Wilcox's presser.
