At one of the chalk talks it was noted that it is too bad we couldn't play Ohio State last year, since this year they are a stronger team. They have, however, lost to Ohio, UConn, and South Dakota. They are a very young team, led by a sophomore and a freshman.
Against Louisville, OSU completed 19/23 free throws, as compared with 7/12 for Louisville. Oddly, OSU had almost no O-boards but they did shoot a whopping 49%.
They sound like a young team that is just beginning to jell, they got hot shooting, and Louisville started fouling.
If we can beat them, then their victory over Louisville is good for us for several reasons. Their RPI will be up after beating Louisville, and Louisville was the strongest contender to unseat us as #1. Oregon State and UConn are the top remaining undefeated teams after us now. Florida State and UCLA are also undefeated.

Yup, OSU, is SO tall. Yikes. And big.
I believe Maryland has yet to beat a ranked team. Same with UConn. Can't see why Oregon State is not ranked higher than UConn, at least at this point. No doubt Geno will have UConn playing better in January/February, but for now I'm not impressed.
