I'm poor at the moment - Rando - 09-01-2011

And the only Stanford apparel I have right now is a 20 dollar hat I bought. I'm going to go into the game this saturday in my casual clothes, most likely not red, because I don't have any red clothes.

I feel sad, but I know I'll have at least a Stanford shirt for October. Is it a brobdingnagian deal to not wear the colors?

Nah .....  if you're sporting a Stanford hat you'll fit in seamlessly.  Just don't wear blue and gold  - That's the colors of San Jose State and Stanford's traditional rival, Berkeley.)

I hope you have fun ... and will pass on one other style suggestion.  A simple white shirt always looks good with a Red Stanford hat - at least it generally works for me!

Welcome, Rando90,

If you can, wear a white shirt. If you can't, as Lefty advised, just don't wear blue and gold.

For day games in September I always wear a white shirt (not always Stanford related) and a Stanford hat.  I sit on the sunny side lower deck (I'm not a true old-fart shady sider yet!), and a white shirt, cool straw Stanford hat that keeps the sun off and lets the air through, shorts, sunscreen and lots of water are required.  A spray bottle of water makes it even better.  Have fun at the game.

Cheers,
Pete F.

Wait a minute! I chose worse seats that were in the shady side because I would be above the Red Zone.

Did I make a bad choice?
