*&%$#! Comcast. Can somebody record SJSU? - Redrum - 09-02-2011

Comcast,  still trying to take over the entire known universe,  can't even unify its own corporation.  They have a network that covers the entire U.S.,  but  offerings in other Comcast regions are only available  on a very limited menu.  Thus,  if I cared about William & Mary soccer,  I can find that on the Comcast South menu of other sports channels.  But if I want to watch CSNBay Area,  there is  no way Comcast can connect me,  even at some premium price.  Short form,  no SJSU viewing for me unless the pirated-- sorry.  what's the polite term for pirated on an internet streaming site?-- services comes through.

Can somebody record the thing?  I'll pay for a DVD and mailing.  No friends with Dish TV,  sports bars filled w/ barbarians whooping it up over Bama and Auburn.  Gaaaah ( I'd rather watch a game from inside a the dumpster of a Chinese take-out restaurant)

Not finding anything myself.

Crazy random happenstance. - Ferris_Bueller - 09-03-2011

Just happened to bump into Bueller at another game this afternon, and passed along Cardboard's interest.

Ferris apologetically demurred on three basis:
1) he'd taken the day off,
2) his vcr was recording an overlapping program, and
3) didn't know a DVD from a coaster, let alone how to write one.

The sincerely contrite looking fella begged me to forward most sincere regrets.  Then after a pause volunteered that just *maybe* there'd be a VCR-able replay sometime next week, if'n that was the least bad option left on the table. And iff a younger fella could do the conversion from abandoned 80s media to post modern stuff.

[late add:  Comcast is hosting a 3.5 hr OnDemand version of the game thru Sept 17th.]

Congrats btw.  Y'all's team sounds scary good.
