KZSU guys called the TD toss the best throw of the game, fwiw.

Hey, Slick Rick wanted him - JohnR34231 - 09-03-2011

You knew he had to be good.

At the open practice it was clear that Nottingham had a great arm (I think he throws a stronger deep ball than Luck).  He and Nunes are better than Picazo but Nunes has a minor foot injury right now.  If Nottingham shows he can read a defense and keep the chains moving by hitting second and third options, I feel good about the backup and future qb situation.  Great game today.  Not perfect, but a 54 point win is always great.

Cheers,
Pete F.

Yep. Stanford has had only one game with a bigger margin of victory in the last 60 years.

I lost my voice on that play. I've been on the Nottingham wagon to greatness and this sealed the deal.

San Jose State played whipped & scared.  Way too many killer mistakes.  They did some very good things, but not only do they have talent gaps, they have no depth.  As Terry points out, second largest margin of victory in 60 years, but wow, that is some asterisk.  It would be interesting to see how effective Coach Shaw's adjustments are from game 1 to game 2 -- when historically the most improvement occurs.
