Glad to see Stanford Stadium so full - bulldogbigred - 09-03-2011
I went to the game and by the 2nd quarter the stadium was pretty close of being full.
I read that the attendance was around 47,000! That's damn good for a team like San Jose. I am expecting full houses for the Washington, UCLA, Cal, Oregon, and ND games.

It was almost full at kickoff. It was amazing!
Now, I realize the kids free promo helped a lot, but it was still awesome. You likely missed the first drive. The PA announcer noted that Luck was at QB and the place went nuts.
This is possibly going to be a one year ride (preseason top 10, big time attendance, Voldemort hype, etc.) but it will be fun.

It made me really happy to be driving up Embarcadero 75 minutes before kickoff in bumper to bumper traffic from Middlefield Road. It brought back old memories. Unfortunately, I didn't expect there to be so many people so early that my usual parking lot was already full.
The stadium was packed and after the game the field was covered with kids having a blast running around, throwing ice, etc.
Great to see all these future Stanford fans being exposed to the joy game day at Stanford.
