Yay! I thought Michigan was going to be a certain loss based on our start. For a change we made fewer errors than the opponent.
OTOH, I forgot that Michigan has played all their games on the road so far. I wonder if they're just taking courses online at this time of the year.

Baseball in Michigan in February must be pretty much confined to a field house.

This is what northern and eastern teams have been complaining about for years, and its why the start of the season got pushed back to mid-February.
Michigan is likely a good team. They were the national runnerup last year, losing 2 out of 3 to Vandy in the finals. Now they are ranked between #5 (Baseball America, 2/24) and #17 (NCBWA, 3/1). They started the season with wins over Vandy and ASU. They have also played four games (in Arizona and a series in Florida) vs UConn losing 3/4, and four games vs Cal Poly (in Arizona and San Luis Opispo) winning 3/4.
It was a bit of a miracle Stanford won that game. The team still wasn't hitting (5 hits total), still committed an error, and allowed 9 hits, 9 walks, 3 stolen bases, and hit a batter. Baseball.
