SF’s Shelter In Place extended to at least May 1 - Snorlax94 - 03-30-2020

I imagine SCC, if not all 8 bay area counties, will soon follow.

From Mayor London Breed’s tweet:
“We're working to slow the spread of coronavirus in San Francisco, but we know that the challenges we face are going to get tougher.

The public health order for people to say safe in their homes will soon be extended until at least May 1. More details to come soon.“

Quote:"“The Public Health Order for people to shelter-in-place safely in their homes will soon be extended until at least May 1,” read a joint statement from seven jurisdictions, provided to this news organization Monday. “We have said an extension might be expected as we work together to slow the spread of the COVID-19 disease.”

Six counties that signed onto the first order — Alameda, Contra Costa, San Mateo, Santa Clara, San Francisco and Marin — will co-sign the extension, alongside the city of Berkeley, which has its own public health department."

No surprise, our WFH order was extended to May 1 last week, and the school district extended the school closure through May 1.

I doubt it will be the last extension.  I just hope we all don't start suffering SiP fatigue.

Same.  Laid off three today.  My firm wanted up to eight.  Everyone gets a 15% pay cut -- everyone.  And my budget took a 17% hit.

Virginia's stay at home order was extended to June 10.  2.5 more months of staying at home for the Virginians, of which I -- technically -- am still one.
