But not in the sense you\'re thinking of. Â Rich Rod just had one of his prize recruits denied admission to the University of Michigan. Â Maybe the admissions department finally picked up on the fact that you can\'t always turn a blind eye to football recruits\' academics. Â The recruit in question is Demar Dorsey, 6\', 175lb DB.

many think the denial had more to do with alleged criminal activity than classroom problems

Now, this past week, Michigan has denied admission to Demar Dorsey, a Rodriguez recruit with two prior felony charges.
Is this all of a coincidence, or is Rodriguez allowing players on his team that dont uphold to Michigan standards?
.......
When it comes to the Demar Dorsey issue, many people are upset at the denial of the top recruit because they are under the assumption the University was aware of the Dorseys criminal record before he was recruited. Thus, if they were aware of it before recruiting him, they cant hold it against him later.
.......
According to ESPN, when it came to Rodriguezs knowledge of these previous transgressions: he didnt know about the players previous run-ins with the law.
