Wasn't Bonds. He only led the league once or twice. And only hit fifty or more HRs once.

Dave Kingman?
Scratch Kingman. Darrell Evans. Who probably hit more foul HRs than anyone in history. Tremendously underrated player. Did it with Detroit, I think.
Speaking of baseball, if there is no season because of concerns either from the players or just in general about coronavirus that’s fine. But it looks more and more like there won’t be any season because of a labor dispute. And that is simply absurd. The NBA figured something out. It is run so much better than MLB.

Not sure, but I think Evans still has the team record for the Tigers.

Howdy Dowdy is correct. Phogge why was that Evan ‘s nickname. No I have no clue

According to SABR when he was a young Brave he resembled Howdy Doody. Ted Turner liked nicknames and he once had the players nicknames stitched to the back of their jersey instead of their last names.
Two things from the article... Eddie Matthews spent hours hitting Evans grounders and spent a lot of time talking to him. Evans credits his greatly improved fielding to the Hall of Fame.
Evans and his wife saw a UFO in 1982 and led to the couple's belief in extraterrestrials and in a higher Power.
Bill James calls him the most underrated player in MLB history. I vote for Wally Berger.
