Marichal is at the top of the list for the most wins in the 60's, as he's the answer to the trivia question if you go for most wins by decade:
50's Spahn
60's Marichal
70's Palmer
80's Jack Morris
90's Greg Maddux
00's Andy Petitte
10's Max Scherzer (I think)

Follow-up trivia:
No player has ever won Rookie of the Year, Cy Young, and MVP in the same year, but can you name the players who have won two out of three?
There have been 11 players to win the Cy Young and MVP in the same year.
Only one player has won the Cy Young and Rookie of the Year in the same year.
Only two players have won the Rookie of the Year and MVP in the same year.

Who are they?

Bonus, two players have won the Rookie of the Year, Cy young, and MVP over their career.  Who are thy?
Extra bonus, only six managers have won manager of the year, and at least one of the other big three awards over the course of their career, and one has won manager of the year, rookie of the year, and MVP.

Robinson was the 1956 rookie of the year, was the NL MVP in 1961 and AL MVP in 1966, and won AL manager of the year in 1989.  Obviously, he didn't win the Cy Young.

Joe Torre was a two-time manager of the year (1996, 1998) and NL MVP in 1971.

Mattingly "only" won the MVP, so no. Another famous Yankee won RoY and MoY (3x), though I don't think any of those awards were with the Yanks.

IIRC Fred Lynn was ROY and MVP in....1975?

RE: Trivia 60s baseball - BostonCard - 06-16-2020

Yes on Lynn.  1975 is correct.

Also, my birth year.

Fernando... ROY, MVP in first year?

My God BC I am 30 years older. Good questions, did not have time to respond (actually working on a script this morning).

Bobbbbbbb, even though he was a Rook in '63 was it Petey for #2?

If not how about Willie Davis. The fastest ever first to third. Would love a match race with Gary Maddux but alas Willie is dead.

RE: Trivia 60s baseball - BostonCard - 06-16-2020

Yes on Valenzuela, in 1981.
