Class of 2022+ -

Compare this to the Women's Basketball Recruiting thread that has 177 posts in a month. Pretty stunning.
In any case, a couple major SG targets - Langston Love and Matthew Cleveland - both committed elsewhere recently after listing us in their top 5/6. Having Isa Silva in the fold already is incredible, and we are still going hard after SF Harrison Ingram and C Ryan Mutombo (yes, THAT Mutombo) among others.
Not much to be said about '22 just yet, but it's clear the coaches have really hammered home the importance of having true PGs on the roster in their late signing of Michael O'Connell, signing Silva in '21, and having already offered four in '22 (Dylan Andrews, Aidan Mahaney, Mark Armstrong, Eli King).

Multiple Stanford connections for 2022 4* SF Colin Smith (we have offered); his older sister is incoming WVB freshman Leilah Smith, and he attends the same HS as aforementioned stud '21 recruit Harrison Ingram. His first P5 offer was from Kansas, and that tells me he's probably pretty damn good.

Fitzmorris Redux (with better basketball upside).

Evidently King has also been offered a football scholarship.

Could he be Teyo Johnson redux?

2022 guard that Stanford offered. His quote about Stanford's academics and his interests when looking for a school seem promising.

I remember starting an actual "MBB recruiting thread" but can't find it, so I guess the Harrison Ingram thread is becoming the de facto one.
We made the top 8 for '22 borderline-5* whale PG Dylan Andrews. He's the #1 priority in the '22 class.

5 P12 programs on his final 8. Good sign that he really likes the conference.

Well, he's from LA. He basically chose the top 5 west coast/Pac-12 teams (a bit surprised, but pleased, no USC on the list), 2 bluebloods, and a surging Louisville (which I would've expected USC to take the place of in this case).
Generally speaking, a lot of top-100 LA-area talent stays in the conference, with some mega-studs going to a blue-blood like Kentucky/Duke/UNC. It's rare for a top LA guy to do otherwise.
We also offered his teammate, mega-whale top-10 player in the nation 2022 PF Kijani Wright, but I've heard nothing of his recruitment.

FWIW, RJ Abeytia on 247 said that Kijani Wright is the staff's top priority for 2022. 4 star guard Mark Armstrong and 4 star F Colin Smith (Harrison Ingram's HS teammate) are pretty close behind, and did not have much to say about Andrews. I'd be surprised if Andrews went anywhere besides UCLA.

Oops. Maybe I got my wires crossed between the two teammates.

We should re-title the thread to a more generic recruiting headline :) I appreciate the content, just wanted to suggest something more apt.

I also added a pointer in the recruiting talk board in case this thread scrolls off the front page of the main board.

I'm not familiar with the players on Prolific Prep, besides Jalen Green, but has the coaching staff recruited anyone from the travel team? I know Silva previously played for Compton Magic when he committed to Stanford so I wouldn't consider him to be from the Prolific Prep pipeline. Considering they always have top 10 talent on their team I hope Silva is putting in a good word with younger players about Haase and Co.

I think there is a class '22 big man on Prolific's team who we are interested in - academic kid, comes from Sierra Leone or some such place.
