Nneka with perfect game from the floor, 8 of 8 (2 of 2 from deep) FGs and 3 of 3 FTs, to pace the Sparks. Ionescu not so hot in her debut.

ESPN put out a video which it claimed showed the Storm and Liberty teams walking off the court during the National Anthem. It got over 10 million views. The only problem is the video is of the players after they finished pregame drills. They decided to stay in the locker room during the National Anthem. ESPN has still not taken down the video.
Is ESPN not paying any attention to WNBA or is there something else at play?

The article says what you said paloalto and BobK, but the video says something different:

Poor showing by ESPN, obviously.

The headline now says:
Quote:STORM, LIBERTY HEAD TO LOCKER ROOM BEFORE NATIONAL ANTHEM
Players from the Storm and Liberty exit the court before the national anthem and dedicate the season to Breonna Taylor as part of the WNBA's social justice initiative.
Since I didn't watch, is this accurate? It sounds consistent with what you wrote, but I also don't know if they updated the headline.

Well I watched and saw. But if others don't want to believe the headline or fact fine with me.

Correction: Players left the court before the national anthem was played, not during.

I guess we will find out whether people want to watch basketball or political theatre. The Players and the league have the right to do and say as they please. Fans and viewers have the right to attend and watch. or not. . Good luck to all
