North vs. South -

We all hope not, but this could be a preview of the CCG. Will it be Fear the Fork or Dominance by the Ducks?

Oregon has too many weapons and too much speed. They can even win a shootout if their defense has an off night.

A preview of the CCG has got to be the conference's worst nightmare.
It is quite possible that Oregon, even w/o LMJ, will destroy Arizona State in early October.
Then in December there could be a "rematch". A December evening would almost certainly feature the addition of LMJ, rain and cold weather. If ASU could not win in October, who would even waste their time watching the rematch? Especially since Oregon and ASU would have little or no chance of going to the BCS title game. Boring!
It would be far better for the CCG to feature ASU @ Stanford. :) Unlike ASU, Stanford has filled their stadium and the two teams will not meet during the season. It would also be possible that the game would feature BCS Title game implications, so the ratings in other regions of the USA could be strong too.

Hadn't thought about it until now, but a December game in Eugene, Seattle, Pullman, and (yes, I'll admit it) Corvallis would be, well, not that pleasant. Heck, even the weather in the Bay Area can be cold and rainy in December.

I picked ASU because I like their jerseys and defense. They will more than likely lose. But I watched the first half of Oregon/Kal and wasn't impressed.

I suspect ASU will give Oregon fits, and maybe even lead at half time. My feeling is ASU will make too many mistakes to win, but I would not be shocked to see ASU win. Oregon's defense is going to be shredded, win or lose.Â
