RE: We have the depth chart - SamuelMcF - 11-03-2020

Damuni occupying both spots implies both JMF and Sinclair are out. He's been getting good callouts but wasn't expecting that.

And here's the offense. Not much surprise here beyond no frosh OL listed. As I expected, West is QB2.

Some guys just disappear with injuries that they can never shake. JMF?

Ethan Bonner was like this for his first couple years. Hell, so was Mills. They are both ready and raring to go. Hope it's minor for JMF.

It looks like we are coming out of camp very healthy. Besides JMF, not many expected contributors missing from the depth chart.

I see that the notes list John Platz in Todd Husak’s analyst role. Sure looks like a cost-cutting move.

Reminds me of the Warriors replacing Greg Papa with Bob Fitz.

WTF- They issue a depth chart this morning with two starters who they announce this afternoon are out. Did they hurt themselves eating lunch today?

RE: We have the depth chart - fullmetal - 11-04-2020

I suppose we could send complaints to Scott Swegan, Communications Director, who is the point-of-contact for the gameday notes where the depth chart does not seem to be updated.

Fitz undermined Papa for that job.  Doubt very much John Platz would do that.

Wholeheartedly agree. Ave play by play guy at best to boot. He whines half the time. I often watch Warriors with sound off.

Fitz's problem with Ws games is that he is too much of a homer.  He has the skills and knowledge to be a good PbP announcer - perhaps he feels he has to pimp for the home team to keep the job (that is the case, I've heard, for many announcers).  Recall what happened to Larry Krueger when he criticized brain dead Giants hitters (which was a completely fair criticism at the time, imo).  And Krueger wasn't even a Giants employee, but rather an employee of the station carrying the Giants.

Barnett is terrific as a color guy on Ws hoops.

Papa is a great announcer who can do all sports . . . think Bill King.  He handles in-game and post-game duties with aplomb.
(Don't care too much for his juvenile antics with his KNBR sidekick, Lund, but that's an easy fix:  just don't listen to them).
