Da Silva and Williams. Good start. We were picked to finish 4th by the Pac-12 media.

Preseason 4th and a first-place vote(!!!!) is the most preseason hype we've had in lord knows how long. 2 preseason all-conference first teamers and 2 more all-conference defensive players in Davis (who was snubbed last year IMO) and Wills. Now is a great time to keep an eye on MBB, and hope against hope the season isn't affected much by Covid...fat chance, I know.
Remember this team was predicted to finish TENTH in the preseason last year, and a lot of us (including myself) agreed with that.
This year's rotation may legitimately be 10 deep if any of the freshmen besides Ziaire can meaningfully contribute. I'm hearing good things about Max Murrell already. Michael O'Connell and Noah Taitz have all the opportunity in the world to snag rotational guard minutes.

Is it just me, or is college basketball stardom mostly about lasting a couple of years before leaving? The all-stars seem to be the ones who weren't quite good enough to leave for the NBA after one or two seasons, and are still playing. And of course the superstar freshmen. For how many years now has Kentucky fielded really good teams of almost all true freshmen, all of whom leave after one year?
I'm not complaining about it; things have to change, and these athletes ought not to be indentured the way they used to be. I'm just saying it's sure changed MBB.

This is 100% the case. Look at the Pac-12 1st team last year. It was entirely whale 1-and-dones and juniors/seniors like Oscar and Oregon's Payton Pritchard.
Plus, given the sheer number of teams out there, it's super easy to transfer "down" or "laterally" (especially from an upper-level program), freeing a spot for others...and now more and more we're seeing lower-division superstars transferring "up." Transfers are an epidemic in this sport.

When's the last time there was no Zona player on this list?
Quackers and us the only teams with 2 players. Wash, WSU, OSU, and Zona with no players. The rest have 1.
