Does he mean going pro in his area of study? I don't see him as NFL calibre, but hope I'm wrong.

Addition by subtraction. I wish him luck but I'm not sure he's even going to get invited to any camps. Poor positioning and tackling.

I see no reason to say anything negative about him.

He received his Stanford degree last June. He wrote a very nice note on Twitter. He’s off to the next stage of his life. He says his dream is to play in the NFL. Good luck to him.

I remember several people I knew pursued the NFL after graduation. Of the players who were not stars, most did not make it. But some do. But I respect people completing their degrees and then pursuing their dream. It is more than what most people do in their lives.

Thanks for posting this.  I share your perspective, except for the part about knowing several people who pursued the NFL.

Don't know why people feel the need to take pot shots.
