According to these metrics, Jake Bailey had the greatest punting season of all time. About mid-way through the season, I started searching for "Jake Bailey" on twitter during Patriots games. It was grim, but amusing. Fans appreciated Jake sarcastically at first, but then genuinely appreciated the value he added to the team. Reminds me of "Jake Bailey for Voldemort," which took me on a similar journey.

Also, the Patriots' punt coverage team was elite.

As for Ryan Sanborn, he didn't have that great a season, but he did add value with his punts.

Jet Toner, man what a regression (maybe heavily influenced by that first game).

That would be certainly influenced by that first game, given that he didn't miss a FG after the first game. (0-4 then 7-7)
In general he wasn't kicking particularly long FGs. He never tried one for 50+ yds. Of course in his career he only went 1-3 from 50+, so it may not have been any particular reaction to his form this season.
