in the best scenario, I believe,
Cameron will become to Stanford's team
what Breanna Stewart was to UConn.
The physical parallel is striking:
both 6-4 with 7-1 wing spans.
By playing Stewart's game--a wing in a post players boy--
Brink would allow us to play her at the same time with our
back to basketball bigs, Belibi and later Betts.
Seems like next year's lineup, then, could be
PG: Van G
G: Jones
W: Lexie
F: Brink
P: Belibi
Followed the next year by
PG: Van G/Rice
G: Jones
W: Demetre
F: Brink
P: Belibi/Betts
Yes?

Yes. Always hard to predict the future and the development of athletes but I’ll say YES

In her first game I said Brink was not very aggressive and assertive and hoped that would change. She changed.
She is fiery and in time see her becoming THE leader of our team. She talks a lot. She runs with Fran's dunks jumping up and down and screaming. She sprints and dives for loose balls. I love what she brings to our team. She has become one of my absolute favorites and is moving up quickly.

I would agree, I think she has the range to be an effective wing, even though she hasn't shot it from deep too much, but I read that the Currys have helped her with her shooting stroke and their resume speaks for themselves, so if some of their ability gets translated over to her, watch out

Here are Cameron's current per 30 minute averages
and those for Breanna Stewart in her senior, college player of the year (for the
third consecutive year) award-winning season:
Points: Brink 20.1, Stewart 19.5
FG percentage: Brink .657, Stewart .579
Rebounds: Brink 12.6, Stewart 8.1
Blocks: Brink 4.0, Stewart 3.4
Steals: Brink 1.0, Stewart 1.9
Assists: Brink 1.4, Stewart 4.0
Remarkable numbers.

As I've watched Brink this year, I have been incredibly happy with her skills and attitude. I keep saying to my wife, who is usually paying much less attention to the game, "Cameron Brink is a freaking star!". I am happy with the way Tara seems to be bringing her along. I think she will be critical to our chances of making a serious run at a championship.
Cheers,
Pete F.

Another comparison:
Brink's first 11 college game numbers vs. Haley Jones',
per 30 minutes:
Points: Brink 20.1- 12.4
Rebounds: Brink 12.6 - 5.1
Blocks: Brink 4.0 - 1.1
Assists: Jones 2.8 - 1.4
FG%: Brink .657 - .473
Again, remarkable.

Great insights, Hulk, but I think you missed a significant one.
To clarify, you are talking about Haley's freshman year.
Fouls: Jones 1.1 - 5.2
TO: Brink 2.1 - 3.3
I found slightly different numbers than you for some stats:
Rebounds: Brink 12.6 - 4.8
Blocks: Brink 4.0 - 1.0
FG%: Brink .657 - .530

The 5.2 fouls over 30 minutes pretty much throws off all calculations. I think you would have to figure out how many minutes it took her to get to 5 fouls and then use that as your time played multiplier for both women.
