Timea Gardiner, ESPN's #4 ranked 2022 grad, is #1 academically in her Utah high school class.

Very very good news

I like her game. (I saw at least three of her US U16 games, teamed with Kiki Rice, Lauren Betts, and Londyn Jones.)
Sees herself, or at least works on becoming, a positionless player a la Haley.
Very good offensive rebounder, aggressive screening out, strong left hand to compliment her right,
hits the occasional three.
I posted earlier that she and Maya Nnaji looked like redundant picks from this class,
but Gardiner appears to have more range.
Nnaji lives off the low post.
A Betts, Rice, Gardiner class--#1, #6, #4--would be unprecedented of course.
But still would like to see a three-and-D wing a la Brooke Demetre.

Sounds like Gardiner suffered a knee injury. Unclear from the article how severe it is.
