Oh no. That isn't what we needed. I was just thinking that we were looking unscathed this year in the grad transfer pool compared to last year, and this undergrad transfer pops up. That is too bad as he was a high potential player. He didn't stand out this year in his snaps before he got hurt, but with Schaffer graduating, we really were counting on him. I hope Phillips and Kenely and Armitage are ready to step up.

It’s a team game. Obey the rules. If there is coaching abuse then report it. Maybe next stop he has a better chance to grow up.

Sounds like he got suspended in mid-season. That helps make more sense of it.

If this is the reason he's transferring, best of luck to him. He'll learn that there are rules everywhere, and they apply to all. I wonder if his parents will approve of him giving up the Stanford diploma because he's upset that he got disciplined.

A little surprised he and Shaw, both intelligent Stanford people, couldn't have sat down and worked out an agreement that would have caused him to stay.
Perhaps he just isn't happy with the overall Stanford experience so far for some reason.

Yes I do remember the article. Even though most of the article was directed towards Stanford, Tim McClure also commented on his recruiting experience with one of service academies, which was not positive.
