She has a quad strain right now, which is terrible timing for her, because she already looks likely to be a victim of the numbers game in an absolutely loaded midfield. I thought she had a line on the fifth midfielder spot (behind Sam Mewis, Lindsey Horan, Rose Lavelle, and Julie Ertz), but then Kristie Mewis had a resurgent NWSL season last year and forced her way back into the conversation. And now you have an elite talent like Macario knocking down the door. If she were healthy, I think she would've been the training player instead of Jaelin Howell, but not the primary roster.
It's hard enough to see Sullivan making the smaller Olympic roster (18 instead of 23 at the World Cup, as a reminder), but if she's not even at the SheBelieves Cup? I think that's ballgame for her Olympic chances, barring an injury to someone ahead of her.
