Ted Miller reporting a North-South split is almost certainty, with the Bay Area schools in the north. Apparently this was a requirement for Colorado to join.

I heard one report that said Standford and cal would play USC & UCLA every year, then rotate with the Arizona schools and UT & CU every other year. To me, that is a good solution.

Round robin scheduling - Spiny_Norman - 06-17-2010

In 1978 the Pac 8 expanded to the Pac 10 but the league still played 8 conference games each year.  While Stanford missed one school each year, they retained their annual games with USC and UCLA.  The same could be done in the new configuration. Â
