Lovely. Even teared up a few times.
Was it just me, or was the implication that Anna is coming back? Tara explicitly said Alyssa was, if she "gets into the Chipper program." I must have misheard. Why would a Tree want to be anywhere near a chipper?

It’s a grad program at Stanford. I believe stem cell research. So Jerome is waiting to hear as it appears Wilson is waiting to hear although I’m guessing on Wilson
We play at Tennessee and South Carolina next season and at Gonzaga. Texas here maybe a tournament in Hawaii
Great to hear from so many alums

For Alyssa, awaiting acceptance into the Stanford master's program in Community Health and Prevention Research (CHPR), I presume is what Tara referenced?
I didn't get the same sentiment on Anna. Isn't she already in a master's program? Did she already finish that degree?
Tara did mention some games on the schedule for next year:
@Gonazaga, @Tennessee, @South Carolina
Texas at home
Tournament in Hawaii
I enjoyed all the guest appearances and alums who spoke. All around was a successful evening and well done for being virtual.

Earlier (not at the banquet, maybe in a final 4 press conference) Tara said something to the effect that maybe Anna could come back and get a second master's. So I took that to suggest Anna has finished the program she was in.
At the banquet Tara said she has invited both Alyssa and Anna back, but didn't say anything more specific about Anna. And Anna didn't say anything about whether she'll be back or not.
Bob's guess seems like a good one. Alternatively, Anna may just not have decided yet.

When speaking with Anna, Tara did say something like "I'll need to talk to Russell" which I took to mean that Tara will try to get Russell to support the idea that Anna return for another year.
On a slight tangent, I have wondered if Anna dislikes people bringing up her brother when speaking with her. It is a rare interview when the interviewer doesn't mention him. Perhaps not since Tara brought him up, and I would think that Tara would know if Anna dislikes it.

I thought Tara said we’ll tell Russell Anna has a brother Russell

Jerome is a great force on this team.
Love that she's coming back.

That was a lot of fun. Just watched the banquet video posted above, and it really hits home what the team accomplished this season. Won the conference, won the conference tourney, won it all, three for three. I know some of us fans were struggling a little right after the game to really feel the joy we hoped to feel. It did finally sink in for me and watching the banquet and video made it even more clear how much fun this all was, how good it feels for a team I've been supporting for so many years to finally win it all after so many great teams did not quite get there. Doesn't get any better.

The best line of the event was Tara complimenting the support staff, something to the effect of "I wish we had game officials as good as you are."

I thought she said that from now on she will call Russell "Anna Wilson's brother". That's to make up for all the people who call Anna "Russell Wilson's sister".

Aaahhh! This makes the most sense because I was a little hazy on the exact wording.

One deserving name left out of the celebrations and the banquet was that of Tempie Brown. In my opinion, Coach Brown, although retired at the end of last season, had her initials engraved in our National Championship Team win! I saw Tempie at the Final Four games in San Antonio. She was decked out in Cardinal Red and sat amongst the team parents. I spoke to her at the game and she was jazzed by the play and ecstatic over the win. I saw her again on the first leg of the return trip early Monday morning. She spoke proudly of the players and wore the smile of a winning coach!
Credit due, credit given!

Nice to hear that! Tempie was my favorite pregame chalk talk leader. Always positive with a great sense of humor.

Thrilled Jerome is returning! Her enthusiasm, leadership, and hustle impress me. I wonder if she would make a good coach . . . but have no idea if she has any interest in that or not. At any rate, good for her!

Tempie, as well as Lindsey, were thanked by one of the players. I don't recall if Tara thanked Tempie, but did thank Lindsey for providing a temporary home for the team.

Makes sense; the program she is applying to will be a good compliment to her medical education:

Really enjoyed the program, agree with all the comments above. It was as good as it could be under the restrictive circumstances, but I really did miss seeing all the players in "civilian" dress -- that's when it becomes clear to me, every year, not only how really, really tall some of them are, but also what a extremely good looking group of young women they are. But then the virtual event made possible the "return" of all the alums, and that was simply wonderful. Loved the fact that there were players from both the previous championship teams -- players representing all those from the class of 1990 forward. Fantastic! And every one of them looks terrific. What a group of alums Stanford WBB has -- so very many to be so very proud of.
