Stanford decommit Mims named a preseason First Team All America by ESPN. "An electric combo with Spencer Rattler."

God I hate the IPAD. It's MIMS you *&^%$*& device.

And if he went to Stanford, the odds are microscopic he would be this highly touted as a Soph, because he wouldn't have played as much as a Frosh, even without Covid pandemic. This could explain why he dropped Stanford in favor of Oklahoma. I don't remember reading anything about admission denial. It has been pretty much an article of faith for me that anyone with a Top 5 with Stanford and Oklahoma on it, always picks Oklahoma, so when Mims chose Stanford I was shocked and not shocked when he flipped.

Mims decommitted in November, 2019 (just before the December signing date) at about the time admission notices might have been sent. I don't remember his case. Was there any public acknowledgement that he was admitted?

OF, I doubt that you would read anything (at least in public) that he was denied admission. That would have to be inferred.

Nothing public. Early football admissions are contingent on continued good academic performance during the rest of senior year. The decommitment was not football-related at all. I will leave you to infer the rest.
