Just perusing scores of the games played so far. Some eyebrow-raising results.

#3 Tennessee eked out a 9-8 win over Wright State (Knoxville Regional)

UC Santa Barbara 14 Okie State 4 (Tucson Regional)

#8 Texas Tech "only" beat Army 6-3 (Lubbock Regional)

South Florida 5 #15 Florida 3 (Gainesville Regional)

Stanford, Oregon, Arizona, and ASU all win their first games of their regional.

UCLA and Oregon State lose. So only ASU won as a non-host.

More on #3 Tennessee. Needed a bottom of 9th walk off GS to avoid gigantic upset.

Conference pride:

UCLA and OSU both sent the 4th seeds in their regionals packing in losers bracket.

All the Pac-12 regional hosts are leading their games in the winners bracket.

Texas appears too strong for ASU in the Austin winners bracket. 

Shocking score of the day: South Alabama sends #15 Florida packing with a 19-1 shellacking!

Per NCAA Web site, Stanford plays winner of Game 5 at 6 PM today:

Oddly, there's currently no mention of the game on the Calendar or Baseball schedule on GoStanford.com.

The article on Kody Huff's outstanding performance mentions today's game in the last sentence:

"The Cardinal will now await the winner of UC Irvine and North Dakota State in the Regional Final at 6 p.m. on Sunday. UCI and NDSU will meet at 1 p.m. to determine who advances to that game."

I don't watch ANY MLB and I barely understand the game of baseball, but I LOVE the structure of this tournament.  Plus, the three teams I am rooting are currently 6-0, so there's that as well.

There have been a lot of blowouts. I don't recall seeing this many teams winning by double digits in previous tournaments.

Stanford, Oregon, and Oregon State can win theirs with a win on Monday.

UCLA and ASU are out.

#1 Arkansas lost today and must win Monday. Baseball can be hard.
