The ever-modest Jerod Haase - washingtonismoney - 07-26-2021

According to this Athletic article, Stanford players get measured almost an inch taller in the NBA than they do in college -- and it looks like the biggest error in either direction in their (limited) database: https://theathletic.com/2723358/2021/07/26/are-coaches-full-of-s-when-it-comes-to-measuring-future-nba-draft-prospects/?source=dailyemail

This is interesting. Thanks for sharing!

Dawkins player heights on gostanford.com --> NBA Combine (in shoes):
Dwight Powell: 6'10 --> 6'11 (+1)
Anthony Brown: 6'6 --> 6'7.25 (+1.25)
Chasson Randle: 6'2 --> 6'1.5 (-0.5)
Average: +0.58
(Notably, Josh Huestis did not get an invite.)

Haase player heights on gostanford.com --> NBA Combine (in shoes):
KZ Okpala: 6'9 --> 6'9.5 (+0.5)
Tyrell Terry: 6'2 --> 6'3 (+1)
Ziaire Williams: 6'8 --> 6'9.75 (+1.75!)
Average: +1.08!
(Notably, Reid Travis (even after his year at Kentucky) and Oscar Da Silva did not get invites.)

I originally wanted to snarkily reply that the title should really be "The ever-modest gostanford.com" since Dawkins makes up half the players in the (admittedly very small) sample, but it appears Randle's over-report and Ziaire's severe under-report put Haase over the top.
