Not sure about that. We lost Bragg and Miezan and pick up Yurosek, Williams and possibly two running backs.  If we do get Jones and Filkins back, that is probably a stronger lineup than last week, but losing Bragg is a big loss.

Although I agree losing Bragg and Miezan would be brobdingnagian, at least in those cases, we've had so many injuries in recent years that we have backups with a lot of game experience and who have even started.

I'd be more worried when we have to insert totally inexperienced true freshman (or upperclassman who never won a starting position and had no game experience). 

So from this perspective, I think we have a much stronger lineup for this week, but we're gonna need it.

Right, Miezan has been our best run stopping ILB.  And, that's why we have given up so many rushing yards.  No he isn't Butkus or Martinez, Skov, or Thomas.

I thought when Hornibrook went into the game last year, he was the best of the bunch at OG

I was looking exclusively at these week's depth chart. As everyone knows, last week Jones, Filkins and Williams were nowhere to be found on the depth chart. Bragg's absence is notable, but Hornibrook has experience and the systemic issues with the offensive line are a much bigger problem than trading Hornibrook for Bragg, IMO.

Miezan is listed on this week's depth chart, so I don't think it's 100% certain that he won't be able to play. At least not as of Tuesday morning.

This Oregon beat reporter says Jones, Filkins, and Miezan are all IN.  The timing of the tweet does roughly correspond to Shaw’s plan to know their availability after today’s practice. This wasn’t reported anywhere else, but it seems fairly credible.
