Ouch. Is the Karty injury a long-term thing?

Karty is out??  Did he get hurt in the game?  He kicked the final PAT no?

RE: depth chart for ASU game - murky - 10-05-2021

How come Wilson isn't on the lists.  Is it because he hasn't been ready yet?   Sounded like early word was we could see him by midseason, which we're about at.

The PK1 is listed as Sanborn, and the holder is listed as Sanborn, so I am looking forward to seeing some dropkicks this week.

Depends if he is vaxxed or not . . . DOH!  We're not allowed to comment on stuff like that here.

My guess:  Covid protocols.  Just a guess (but one I'd feel comfortable betting money on).

RE: depth chart for ASU game - Phogge - 10-05-2021

I think Sanborn did an ok job a couple of years ago when Toner was out. I love dropkicks, it's what we did as kids.

Dave Dravecky rebroke his arm in the celebration in 1987 when the Giants won the division series. Maybe Karty got stomped after the game by some female shot-putters.

IPADS suck.

RE: depth chart for ASU game - gailtate - 10-05-2021

Not having Karty is a big, big loss. Another week, another depleted roster.

RE: depth chart for ASU game - magnus - 10-05-2021

Without Karty, will Shaw fill the gap by punting more or going for it more?

RE: depth chart for ASU game - Phogge - 10-05-2021

Did he describe Tremayne's injury or is it a National Secret, For Your Eyes Only or an offense against the Official Secrets Act in the UK. Does "M" know? Does Moneypenny Know? Does Felix Leiter know?

Did he address the world record false starts? Did he comment on a bunch of cheap shots by the Team of Convicts?

You don't have a need to know if they know.

On the scale of football teams heading into a sixth consecutive game, that list isn't so bad. [And certainly we all knew Tremayne would be out.]
Of course it doesn't include all those missing from the defensive backfield.

RE: depth chart for ASU game - OutsiderFan - 10-06-2021

My best guess is Tremayne suffered a dislocated ankle and not necessarily a fracture, but that is only a guess. In any case, his season is over. Tremayne is Stanford's best walk-on performer of the last decade IMO. Does he have remaining eligibility after this year?

Yeah, estimates of the extent of Tremayne's injury have ranged from severe to catastrophic (I saw one saying he may never walk again).
About the only thing everyone agrees on is that he is done for the year.

I was about to counter with the Whalen not-brothers, but then checked the years. With Griff it depends upon how you count. Ten years ago today he was still playing in his final season for Stanford.

Otherwise, I am not sure who the candidates might be.

This is silly. If McKenzie Milton can return to play football after what some people called the worst knee injury they have ever seen - that almost cost him is leg - and Alex Smith could return to play football after his, there is no way Tremayne's injury might prevent him from walking again. I'd be surprised if he isn't a starting WR on next year's team.

RE: depth chart for ASU game - Phogge - 10-06-2021

I believe he has a redshirt still unburned and a sixth year because of the Covid protocol of last year not counting for everybody. Technically two remaining.

I appreciate your reassurance, made me sick to read the previous comment, but would love to hear official word that he will be fine.
Has there been any info released?

RE: depth chart for ASU game - Phogge - 10-06-2021

Sanborn 7 for 9 on FG’s subbing got Toner in 2019.
