I had to laugh, because the way that the daily is laid out on my browser, there was a big amount of white space between "The good" and the next line of text, making me think that they were sending a message.
Broadly speaking, I agree, but even the secondary isn't really that good, it is just better than expected given injuries.

Pre-season, I pegged this team at 4-8.
Hope I'm wrong, of course, but this is lookin' pretty good right about now.

The article is missing the forest for the trees and fails to identify the coaching staff as the core problem. Whether it's poor recruiting which leads to a lack of depth, player development which leads to underperformance (compared to recruiting stars), or being injured too often or being physically dominated due to poor S&C/trainng, clock management, penalties, etc. - it's much more about coaching than it is about the young men themselves

If any publication should not be intimidated by The Emperor, it would be the Daily. New beat writer every year.

It's always the coaching staff's fault by definition. Either they didn't prepare the players well enough or they didn't recruit well enough. And ultimately the staff's fault is always the head coach's fault for not hiring better assistants. But we never get tired of repeating these truisms as if they are great insights.
