Hope Stanford Stadium can get loud for Ducks - bulldogbigred - 11-06-2011
I will be shouting for the whole game and stomping my feet whenever the Ducks are on offense. It would be great if the whole stadium became a deafening jet engine.During some points of the season the crowd has gotten fairly loud, but it would be nice for the team to have a crowd advantage.
So please sacrifice your voice for a few hours, as we will see the true "Game of the Century".

I couldn't agree more, StanfordIndians. A few weeks ago, some guy (who was boasting of "attending Stanford games since before {I} was born" started yelling at me and my son for pounding on the metal stands to amp the noise on some big third and fourth down plays. How incredibly lame?!? Totally played to the (negative version of) the Stanford fan stereotype. I just shook my head and told him that, while I've been a season ticket holder for more than 20 years, I've also been to other sporting events, and that when the players, coaches and scoreboard are begging for MORE NOISE, the home crowd should feel COMPELLED to oblige!

Is this the biggest game in the history of Bay Area college football? Since the regular season is so important in college football, to me, this is the single biggest regular season game in the Bay Area since Cowboys at Niners in 1994. It is THAT big!
Therefore, it may be the biggest regular season game any Stanford players ever play, even if they go on to play in the NFL. As Bill Parcels once said when he was mic'd by NFL Films... "this is why you lift all those weights, this is why you do all that sh*t!" Any Stanford player that can find a way to get on the field and play this week simply has to do it.Â
And the fans must be...
LOUD!Â
ALL GAME LONG!Â
And... you aren't doing your job in this game unless you STAND MORE THAN YOU SIT!
