This world cup is a great one for that...Those poor Bleus.

Does this mean we have to stop using it for taking delight in the misfortunes of Al Franken?
Maybe. Al Franken could play better than France - Redrum - 06-22-2010
...did in the first half against South Africa. Took me back to my AYSO coaching days.
My working day has rotated into working nights. Nothing to do with the WC, but it means I\'m eating my cheerios on the couch and waking up when the games come on. What a contrast between France and South Africa. 1940 all over again.
Oh, I am just sick of the guys taking dives. That\'s definitely one superior thing to American football. In the American game, if a guy is down on the ground its because he got his clock cleaned, not because somebody simply touched him and he\'s trying to turn it into a mugging in the eyes of the ref. What a wussy major feature of a sport.

You should have checked out the México v Uruguay game. Â Very competent ref from Hungary wasn\'t buying any acting. Â The game stayed good and physical without devolving into a foulfest. Â Sure there was one bloody head, but the dude was eager to keep playing. Â Imagine that, a little competent refereeing and the wussiness of the game goes down by quite a bit.

there needs to be a pre-match meeting of the players and refs to get this all explained, just as boxing does it. Â sure, it\'s all boilerplate, but the players can\'t complain if they\'ve heard the ground rules.

Do you think the players are confused about why Al Franken is a jerk? Should the referees bring old Saturday Night Live tapes?
