WBB - 2021-22 Awards & Lexie WINS Senior Class Award - WBB fan - 02-14-2022

This is early in the game for this, but it's going to be a topic that grows from here. Several Stanford players are showing up on "midseason" watch lists at this point. Feb 10, the WBCA and Naismith Hall of Fame have announced the current watchlists for the Position awards. Brink is on the top ten list for Power Forward and Jones is on the top ten list for small forward.

And something that we can all participate in:  Lexie Hull is a finalist for the Senior Class Award. You can vote for her every day from now until March 21. The link is https://www.seniorclassaward.com

Update -- looks as if you can vote more than once a day. I just gave it a try and wasn't rejected when I voted for the 2nd time today. Go for it. Right now, Lexie is in the lead and Sam Thomas of Arizona is in 2nd place.

Yep, it says
"Come back as many times as you?d[sic] like through the voting period to vote for your favorite student-athletes!"
Just click "Return" after voting.  The Capcha's get more intrusive.

I will note that they don't indicate your vote will be counted once or more than once per day (but "vote" should mean each counts).


(sigh... you'd think they'd have the QA to check their site on different systems. I thought character errors ended when IE was retired.
Also sigh:  The Capcha was "Select the bridges" (showing the Golden Gate Bridge as an example) but their choices only included overpasses, not bridges.)

I sent the FBC webmaster an email suggesting they put a link to the Senior Class Award up on the Stanford FBC website. Hope they do! They have done this in the past.  Would it be appropriate for GoStanford.com to do the same? I don't know. I've already gone to the Stanford WBB Facebook page and posted a note about this there. Go Lexie!!

Yes, StanfordFBC put it up, and it's a great banner headline, with a link to the voting site. I'm so glad they did it. But you can also go directly to the voting website, a bit faster:  www.seniorclassaward.com.  And don't forget -- you can vote over and over, not only every day, but many times a day. When you get to the end of making a vote, scroll all the way down and a button that says "return" comes up. Hit that and you're all set to vote again, right away.

Lexie's way ahead right now, but if other school fans get organized on behalf of their player, that could change, so . . . , vote, vote, and keep on voting. Lexie deserves it!

Lexie fans are doing a great job: her percentage of the vote went from 53.3% when I started voting to 73.1% now. I find when I hit the "Return" button to vote again, I can make several more votes before the reCaptcha starts making me do something.

two days later and Lexie has gone from 73.1% to 76.3%! Let's get it up over 80 and I think the non-Lexie fans will get discouraged and give up.
