Legitimately one of the happiest reactions for me to a Stanford sporting event in years. Having a world-class sprinter to root for is going to be awesome. So thrilled by that. Not even joking in the thread I started on TOS calling Onwuzurike my new favorite Stanford athlete.

Why does he have to be a two sport athlete? He’s a great sprinter. Sorry but the mod on rivals just said the same.

Remember Bowman a top HS sprinter dropping the pass in 2001? Nuff said. :)

In the Mens 5K Robinson, Hicks and Sprout now 4,5, 8 all time at Stanford. All running in the 13:20s

I love the 100 meters. Onwuzurike ran the fast U-20 100m in the world in 2022...

It is interesting to note that three of the five times ahead of Onwuzurike had a considerably faster tail wind (+2.0, +1.9 and +1.7) than Onwuzurike at +0.6.

Very impressed by Nolan Topper's 28:44 10,000m yesterday at Mt Sac. It is a Stanford freshman record, breaking Brent Hauser's mark from 1997. For a relatively unheralded recruit, Nolan is turning into a superstar with 13:54 and 28:44 times posted in the last two weeks. True frosh too, not redshirt. Local kid from Redwood City who attended Bellarmine Prep in San Jose.
