WBB transfer portal - BACardinal - 04-06-2022
So many transfers have happened so far that have shocked me but most of all I think it is Oregon State losing their twin towers in Brown and Jones. Ruick is probably pulling out the few hairs he has left.
Same goes for Maryland. It's weird to me that they have so many top notch players transfer from this program. In recent years I think of Destiny Slocum and Lexi Brown and now three starters from this year are in the portal. Owusu, Reese, and Collins.

Is there a website that is a clearinghouse for women's basketball transfer information? 247sports tracks men's basketball transfers, but not women's.

Also noticed that Kempshroeder leaving OSU - 3 major departures there. Actually, P12 is hit hard with portal losses at OSU, Oregon, SC, Utah, ASU, UW unless they transfer to another P12 school. No losses at Ucla so they should have a loaded roster.

I really thought we would see Talia Von Oelhoffen in the transfer portal. She just didn't look happy playing at OSU. Maybe it was me being wishful for her transfer to Stanford. Stanford could use her skills and talent.

UCLA's roster is loaded but come fall before the start of school there could very well be some transfers at the guard spot(s).

UCLA's roster is loaded but come fall before the start of school there could very well be some transfers at the guard spot(s).
Or injuries. They have had a terrible injury issue the last couple years.

This seemed as good a place to put it... UConn's Williams, Westbrook, and Nelson-Ododa have declared for the WNBA draft. (Like Lexie, not a surprise.)

Wasn't this Westbrook's 5th year? I could be wrong but I think she has run out of eligibility.

Westbrook redshirted her junior year after her transfer waiver was denied and while she rehabbed her knee, so she was entitled to the fourth playing year regardless of COVID. Technically, she could have come back again, since the COVID year doesn't count against eligibility.

Looks like the players in the portal and the schools to which they are going are making their decisions pretty quickly. Assuming there is mutual interest between us and a player in the portal and good academic qualifications, how quickly can our admissions office move in providing a yes/no answer?
