The article is absolutely nails about Macario’s abilities from distance. She hits it with both power and placement from the edge of the box, which really does make her deadly, and puts defenders in a real bind.

Macario scored the third goal today as Lyon won the women's EUFA Champions League 3-1 over Barcelona.

For some reason, since John Elway, I have generally lost interest in Stanford athletes when they turn pro. However, I can appreciate a great artist when I see one, and Catarina Macario is such an artist. Her goals are things of beauty. I think I would have appreciated seeing them even if she never came to Stanford, which is a rare admission for me. A combination of ballet and cannon fire.

Yep. As powerful as she is, her feet dance a ballet with the ball in close quarters. Plus, she's charismatic to boot. She really is amazing and has a great chance to be the face of American soccer.
