Yes. When you are playing an event at Marion, it's big. Decades ago, SI did a feature called The Greatest 18 Holes in Golf. Only Merion had two of those 18 holes (the first and, I believe, the 10th.)

We won 3-0 today
Heck and Zhang won 4 and 2.

Heck and Zhang down 1 going 18; we're down 4 after 11. Heck appears to be favoring right ankle

Zhang/Heck down four at 11 and come back to tie their match to win 1/2 point for USA.
Highlights of yesterday's foursomes.

Ganne carried her team (Ganne/Avery).

This has become anticlimactic. USA already won the cup and they keep playing out the matches. Ganne still playing her match.
RE: WGolf @ Curtis Cup -

USA wins in a rout 15 1/2 - 4 1/2
Rachel Heck 3-0-1
Megha Ganne 3-0
Rose Zhang 2-1-1
Brooke Seay first alternate
It's downright frightening that four players on Team USA's nine-person roster will be in Cardinal & White this fall. We might be even tougher to beat next year!

Most importantly, have the women experience in high stakes match play.
It know they play a ton of golf already, but it would be pretty cool if the final featured alternating ball match play, with the winner getting a “doubles point” like in tennis, and then six match plays.

Half of the matches the first two days are alternate shot. That's more than enough. If you've never played it, it's tough.

Sorry, I realize I omitted one very important phrase. I meant the NCAA tournament. If the NCAA tournament finals included a “doubles point” based on alternate shot teams, that would be an interesting twist, though I realize that those teams making it to the finals have played six rounds over the previous five days.

So you'd have a six-player roster with four singles matches and one doubles match? Interesting idea!

It's hard to imagine a leader as compelling as Heck, but Ganne takes it up two levels. She will influence Stanford W golf recruiting for at least a decade. She is the golfer whom every young girl golfer is watching now, and idolizing.

I think we have three different personalities/styles among our leaders, not including Brooke Seay who is quietly becoming a great player
Zhang is the quiet assassin type. She just goes out and gets it done. Kids who are more introverted will look at her more
Heck is just happy go lucky cool as a cucumber. A lot of kids could use an attitude like hers
Ganne is the outgoing fiery player. Probably a lot like her, but not everyone

Actually, the way I had thought of it was like tennis. Three pairs of doubles matches, and the winner of the majority takes the “doubles point”. Then six singles matches the next day; winner has to win at least 4 points.
But that was just because I kind of liked the tennis format. Your suggestion can be accomplished without an extra round for the players, who already play 7 rounds in six days. Plus, you could do it at all three match-play rounds. So, I like your suggestion better.

I'd love to see a match play tournament during the season

Dual meets would be really cool. It kind of makes no sense that everything in golf is championship format, until there are eight teams left, and then you switch to match play.
The season should be a combination of match play and stroke play.

No reason you couldn’t have an 8- or 16-team tournament during the regular season. Play 1 or 2 matches the first day and one match each on the last two days. And you can bracket the whole thing so that all teams play a full set of matches
