Bueckers acl

RE: UConn basketball sad news - Lorcan - 08-03-2022

Yikes. She’s had a rough go of it with injuries. Wishing her all the best in the recovery and hopefully she’ll get back to 100%.

That’s a brobdingnagian blow for UConn.

Brutal. She is so fun to watch and such a good representative for WCBB. A big loss for WCBB as a whole...

Very tough break for her and Yukon. Time to get healthy and declare for the WNBA before she is labeled as injury-prone moreso than she already may be.

Same knee makes me wonder…

RE: UConn basketball sad news - 81alum - 08-03-2022

The worse feature of WBB are all the ACL injuries.  The human knee--especially the female knee apparently--just does not seem made for the stresses of this game.  Way too many superb players whose careers have been ended or impacted by this injury.  I hope this is "only" a one year setback for her.

Another adversity and bad break for a really nice ultra talented kid, which will adversely affect
UConn WBB NCAA title hopes for the upcoming season.  Hoping the best in her rehab and
overall recovery from this season (which hasn't even begun yet) ending injury.

Hmmm, so where does this put UConn...?

They still have a very good team with scoring threats at every position:

SF - Aubrey GRIFFIN  6'1
SF - Ayana PATTERSON  6'2
PF - Aaliyah EDWARDS  6'2
PF/C - Dorka JUHASZ  6'4
C  - Isunah BRADY  6'3
C -  Amari DEBERRY  6'5
SG -  Caroline DUCHARME  6'2
SG -  Lou Lopez SENECHAL  6'1
SG/PG  -  Azzi FUDD  5'11
PG  -  Nika MUHL  5'10

Even with Paige in the line-up, they're already shorthanded at the guard position.
Now with the best PG in the country out for the entire season, UConn will be
hard-pressed vs Top 10 teams until they are able to adjust without her...

Very sorry for the girl. Not sorry for her rat bastard coach.

Sorry to hear of another injury to Bueckers. Being it is the same knee that she had trouble with this past season, it raises the question if she should have taken more time to recover/heal and not rushed back as quickly as she did. Regardless, wishing her a speedy recovery.

With how this affects the upcoming season, Uconn is still incredibly talented but they will not be the same without her. She's incredibly gifted. Seems South Carolina and ourselves could be #1/#2 to start the year. We need to pray and hope we ourselves avoid any significant injuries.
