That’s on McKee for the overthrow. And just like that it’s 7-0 bad guys

I guess he’s channeling Robert Plante.

Smith is legit.

Don't look now, but we are successfully running the ball.

Who doesn't love seeing a college coach yelling at his player to go down to fake an injury to avoid calling a timeout when Stanford is about to go for it on 4th... Is that really not an automatic timeout charged?

RE: Stanford vs USC Game Thread - martyup - 09-10-2022

They just showed the SC coached motioning for that player to fake an injury because he couldn't get off the field in time to avoid a penalty.  I thought they passed a new rule against fake injuries.

Our O line is run blocking well.

TREE-MAIN!!!

This has to be TD.

RE: Stanford vs USC Game Thread - lex24 - 09-10-2022

Gotta love 5 minute reviews

RE: Stanford vs USC Game Thread - ADPinWDC - 09-10-2022

GREAT TEXTBOOK DRIVE FOR 7!   With a 4th down conversion.
Classic 5m+ drive.  Excellent mix of Run / Pass with good show from EJ Smith, with Papa in the stands.
Bryson Tremayne with a perfect toes inside the backline.
WAIT.. WHAT?!  Tremayne had the feet down.  TOTAL SCREWUP.  The "play stands as called".

RE: Stanford vs USC Game Thread - martyup - 09-10-2022

The toe touched in-bounds before the heel came down.  Come on refs, that's a TD!

Bull f-ing sh-t

Friggin hosed.  If it takes seven minutes to review the mother flipping play there’s no mother flipping way it should be overruled

Completely agree. Stunned.

RE: Stanford vs USC Game Thread - lex24 - 09-10-2022

Takes the 3 points. Unreal.  Just unbelievable.

RE: Stanford vs USC Game Thread - d4cohn - 09-10-2022

I disagree. With SC's offense, and even how last year's game went,
there are going to be a lot of points scored tonight.

RE: Stanford vs USC Game Thread - Treefence - 09-10-2022

Agree with going for it, never agree with a fade, especially when the guy clearly had no separation.  Oh well, need our defense to not do what they did before...

RE: Stanford vs USC Game Thread - winflop - 09-10-2022

There needs to be a one minute clock on replay reviews. If the replay official can’t make a decision in that time, it’s too close to call and the call on the field should stand

Can’t come away with zero.  Just can’t.

The longer the review takes the more you know the refs are trying to talk themselves into a bad call.
