Stanford App updated today Nov 3, fixes ticket problems - amytmueller - 11-03-2022

I reported a problem on 11/2 with accessing the Ticketing portion of the Stanford Athletics app, it would immediately close, so I could not download my tickets to my phone!  I contacted Stanford but they were not too helpful (yeah, we've heard there are some problems with Android, come to the ticket office before the game and we can help you out).

So I contacted the developers directly and they responded promptly!  They said it was a known problem and that they were working on it.  Sure enough, I saw that there is an updated the app in the Google Play Store dated Nov 3.  I updated it, and it now works.

Just fyi, it wasn't working on my Pixel 5A, not sure if other Android models were also having the same problem.

Tactile: printed tickets from the past. Illustrated, photos, etc. You could save them. They came in the mail. The only thing you had to do was open the envelope.

Convenient: Apps crash, you have to call the developers, come to the office. Horseshit.

Not true. Not true at all. You had to fold, then tear along the perforated edges after you opened the envelop. . . .

Still remember opening the Raiders season tickets and seeing the helmets of the teams we were going to play. Oh, the joys of childhood.

I used to forget my paper tickets from time to time, but I don't go anywhere without my phone in my back pocket. So the change is a plus for me.
