WBB: When will the 2023 Class be announced? - 81alum - 11-11-2022
One might think it would be any day now, given the dates we have announced our incoming classes in the past:
2021 Nov 12
2020 Nov 11
2019 Nov 13
Of course we know about Ogden, Agara, and Clardy, but are we waiting to hear from Juju Watkins before announcing our class? Has Juju even said when she is planning to decide?
Inquiring minds want to know....

Yeah, my hope is that the fact that we haven't announced the signings means that we are expecting at least one (hopefully two) more signees before announcing the entire class.
I suppose it is possible that we will sign another Greek player (as we have the last two years) or other foreign player if Watkins and/or Hidalgo don't sign.

Thanks for clarifying. I have not been following the day to day recruiting news, for the same reason I don't check my stock portfolio every day ;P But I did have a vague idea that now is the time the answers are all revealed. I'll hope for the best!
In looking over the press releases from when our current senior class declared in 2018, I noticed that there was a press release "Three to the Farm" at the normal time for Prechtel, Belibi, and Jump, and then Jones declared a couple of weeks later and got her own press release. So if past is prologue, I would think that we would have a normal press release for the confirmed recruits in a day or two, and then another release if one of the two elites we are waiting for come our way. Yes?

Oh I remember that was a unique instance with Haley Jones delaying her announcement to actually after the signing week, due to the local wildfires, if I remember correctly.
