First NFL TD for Trenton Irwin -
Branner77 - 11-20-2022
WR Trenton Irwin, who starred on the LSJU Sun/Alamo bowl teams of 2016-18, had his best game in the NFL today, with 3 receptions for 42 yards and his first NFL touchdown for the Bengals.

While most people were stupidly watching Cowboys-Vikings, I watched Bengals-Steelers, thinking that would be a better game and saw the TD.
Not only did Trent Irwin make a TD catch, one that was a bit behind him and required absorbing a big hit while catching it in the EZ, but former Niners WR Trent Taylor tried to fair catch a punt after it bounced in the air! He got flagged for invalid fair catch signal, but it did the job, because the Steeler defenders didn't hit him after he waved his arm. Didn't even know he was still in the NFL.
Anyway, Irwin isn't going to make Cincy fans forget about Ja'marr Chase, but he looks like he can be exactly what he was for Stanford, a guy who can get open, make tough catches and be physical.

Are you always this judgmental. Who cares what “most people” were doing, and why do you care whether this was smart or stupid? Yes, it was a blowout, but I think everyone here has agency and if they preferred to watch the Giants beat down the Vikings, what’s it to you?

Sarcasm doesn't translate on message boards, does it?
Once again, someone seizes on the part of a post that really has nothing to do with the points of it, so they can flex those internet superiority muscles and make someone look bad for something they didn't really say and certainly didn't mean in any way more than a playful jab.
Any questions about Irwin in the Bengals-Steelers game? I watched every catch Irwin made and saw where he lined up too.

A couple. I saw the highlight of his long reception after he left a defender grabbing air. On the passes thrown to him that were not completed, did he drop any of them or were they poorly thrown balls? Does he go back to the practice squad once Chase is healthy? I have to believe that he's on special teams too. Did you notice him there (make a tackle, down a kick)?
I'm hoping he does well and becomes the next Wes Welker / Julian Edelman.

He barely plays on STs.

At the risk of being a pot calling the kettle black, I pointed it out because comments like this seem to be a pattern, which is why I didn't register the sarcasm. It wouldn't have been your first time that a throwaway line in a post that was more than a playful jab.
Hey, if it really was an earnest attempt at a commentary about the the fact it was a blowout and not an attempt to tell the world how smart you were for watching the "better" game, then I am sorry for misinterpreting it.
