Transition is incomplete as long as Muir hangs around -

The thought of a superstud HC reporting to him is a joke. BUT...smart people have now seen that football on the Farm can exceed the heights and be far more than respectable. How those people adapt to the new landscape is the key, of course. Seems antithetical to Stanford. But, hey, until Bowlsby and Harbaugh showed up I thought another Rose Bowl was a bridge too far. Condie and her real-world cohort have to weigh in. Stanford's at a scary crossroads. Kudos to Shaw. He accomplished things that I was convinced were impossible. For several years he embellished what he inherited--until he no longer could.

not so sure about that, given Muir appeared to not get involved in the football program having a hands off boss might actually be attractive to a new head coach...

Highly doubtful. More likely he leads it. I just want some people on it who are completely outside the bubble - and Condi.
