Trenton Irwin - vataha - 12-11-2022

Shaggy scores another TD on a 45-yard catch from Burrow! Nice to see Shaggy making the best of his opportunities.

That was a beautiful strike.  Congrats to Irwin!

RE: Trenton Irwin - Branner77 - 12-26-2022

Two more TDs for Trenton Irwin vs. the Patriots on Xmas Eve!

His December stats: 7 receptions, 120 yards, 3 TDs.

Next up: a showdown v. Buffalo Bills.

RE: Trenton Irwin - SemperCard - 12-27-2022

I wish Trenton continued success with the Bengals, but somewhat hoping he and Trevor Lawrence end up on the same team one day!

RE: Trenton Irwin - lex24 - 12-27-2022

“All he does is catch touchdowns.”

RE: Trenton Irwin - SamuelMcF - 12-27-2022

4 TDs in 8 games this season.

5 TDs in 48 games, 39 of them as a starter, under Shaw.

Makes you think.

RE: Trenton Irwin - BobK - 12-27-2022

Makes me think of the 4 Bowl Games Irvin went to.

At least next year the Shaw discussion should be minimal….

Trenton Irwin had 152 receptions during his Stanford career. That is the 10th most receptions in Stanford history, and the 2nd most receptions of any receiver in the Harbaugh/Shaw era (behind Ty Montgomery). So Stanford used Irwin a lot.

Irwin's total of 5 TDs was relatively low because Stanford had another big-play receiver who was very effective in the red zone -- J.J. Arcega-Whiteside, who had 28 TD receptions during the same years that Irwin played.

One can dream.  We'll see.

RE: Trenton Irwin - CompSci87 - 12-28-2022

For several years all failures of the team will continue to be blamed on Shaw. So, plenty of Shaw discussion.

RE: Trenton Irwin - BostonCard - 12-28-2022

Guessing Lex was being sarcastic.

I think anytime something goes wrong there will be somebody blaming it on Shaw, and also there will be those who will say "Shaw's teams didn't screw up like that". Probably neither will be correct, but what's new? It is also irrelevant, because Shaw is gone (by his own choice it seems). I personally am getting ready to blame TT for everything, including global warming.

RE: Trenton Irwin - fullmetal - 01-27-2023

Oh wow.  Great article.  Irwin has had a charmed life.  Feel like he's got at least two more acts to go in his career after football!

Irwin has 15 catches in 4 years. I don't think you have a point here.

RE: Trenton Irwin - PVTree - 01-28-2023

Shawn Irwin? WR prospect? Hmmm.

Terry, I’ve always considered you to be horribly unfair.  You actually use facts, logic  and reason. No matter the topic.   With no emotion getting in your way. It’s not right…….
